مثلا:
“dis” یک پیشوند منفی است. یعنی جدا، نه یا هیچ. وقتی که از کلمه‌ای جلوتر می‌رود، مانند locate، کلمه را مخالف معنای ریشه اصلی خود می‌کند.
پسوند پزشکی “algia”رایج در انگلیسی است و به معنای درد یا درد است. وقتی این پسوند را به کلمه‌ای می‌چسبانید، بیانگر درد است. به عنوان مثال، myalgia درد در عضلات است. به پست پیشوندها و پسوند‌های ما حتما سر بزنید.
